VALANTINE’S DAY.

Love is in the air….

Its obvious to be in the month dedicated for love…

The history has produced many wonderful love stories, which stood through the centuries, and one such story left us the day called the

VALANTIEN’S DAY.

May it be the story about

ROMEO and JULIET,

SALEEM and ANARKALI,

Or even the fictional pair of PARVATI and DEVADAS…….

All the credit goes to the eternal love between them, or else they must have been lying in some dark corner of the history just like numerous other stories did.

But why is this so called famous love stories, are all dated long back and
why cant you find one among our midst?
May be we can find some ppl around us, who claim to be in love,
but then why cant we have them as an example for this true love?

There are many reasons, but to generalise, its mere infatuation.
Thanks to the influence of western culture, today almost everyone is under this impression that by the end of your school life, if u don’t get involved with some one, u are termed “uncool”. The pub culture also contributed much for this. People think that it’s a status symbol to have a relationship.

The “relationships” of today work like this :

Guys who are single are pressurised by their friends into dating. So he goes right upto the most attractive girl he sees and proposes. Once she accepts, they are in this thing called a relationship. Now after a few days, they both discover that they cant hold that relation for long, and they end up cheating on each other or just plain breaking up.

This is love?

No, surely it is not the one

So what is true love?

Love is defined as “A strong positive emotion of regard and affection for someone close, a feeling of sensitiveness to one’s happiness”.

True love in my sense, can’t get generated in the so called love at first sight. All that can be generated is attraction and lust. The true love comes from the heart and not from the eyes or the body or the beauty. One may not find the true love in their whole life, in which sense they see the world. Cant u call all the affection and attention you get from ur parents and other family members as love? Is there any love greater than one’s mother’s love? I bet there isn’t one. It its true, then y do u always think your mom or dad is wrong and what ur partner says is right? My dear friend, plz remember that your parents do not want you to make the same mistake they did, and always want to see you in the safer and winning side even though u don’t like it some times, but your partner, who doesn’t have experience as ur parents, want only your happiness. And obviously u are happy about it.

I don’t say that there is no love at all……

I only say that do not get distracted by the simple and silly things in your life and do not name them as love.

Love may not exist between the persons who think they can live whole life with each other but it surely exists between the persons who think they can’t live at all without the other.

So friends, I do not say does not love, I only say that love is very precious and rare, so go find it. And once u find it, do not loose it at any cost. Do not let ego and attitude ruin your relationship. Because, these are the things which interfere most with the love. Love, ego and attitude do not go with each other.
